C.A.T.E - Changing Africa Through Education is the international division of our foundation. Its mission is to provide hope to needy children in impoverished communities through education & community building.
2011 C.A.T.E Trip with Amobi Okoye, Connor Barwin, James Ihedigbo & Frank Okam
Defensive lineman Amobi Okoye (Chicago Bears) and 44 others, including fellow NFL players Connor Barwin (Houston Texans), Frank Okam (Tampa Buccaneers), James Ihedigbo (New England Patriots), New York State Senator Eric Adams, California Mega Million Lottery Winner & Queen Nerfertti Production founder Cynthia Stafford, Coaches, International Federation of American Football (IFAF), College Interns, Doctors, and Volunteers traveled to Nigeria to participate in the Amobi Okoye Foundation's 4th Annual Changing Africa Through Education (C.A.T.E) trip.
Amobi Okoye Foundation: CATE Africa 2011
The Amobi Okoye Foundation continues its mission with the CATE Program: Changing Africa Through Education. On this trip, a group of 4 NFL Players and members of the Foundation traveled to Nigeria with the goal of helping children. In addition, they teamed with other groups like HOPE Africa, IFAF, and USA Football to effective launch the game of American Football on the continent.
