Kickoff 4 Kids

Kickoff 4 Kids is the domestic division of the Amobi Okoye Foundation. K4K is a series of youth centered activities that provide motivation to youth to foster self esteem, inspiration & academic scholarships. We sponsor a variety of programs, all designed to improve and enrich young lives.
Play 60
The Mission of Play 60 is to make the next generation of youth the most active and healthy.
In October 2007, the NFL launched NFL PLAY 60, a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day. NFL Play 60 is designed to tackle childhood obesity; NFL PLAY 60 brings together the NFL's long-standing commitment to health and fitness with an impressive roster of partner organizations. In addition to national outreach and online programs, NFL PLAY 60 is implemented at the grassroots level through NFL's in-school, after school and team-based programs.
The NFL PLAY 60 initiative is prominent during the NFL's key calendar events, including Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, Draft, Kickoff and Thanksgiving and is supported by many NFL players and coaches year round. To date, the NFL has dedicated over $200 million to youth health and wellness through NFLPLAY 60.

Determination Success – Positive Learning All Year
The program was created to help close the achievement gap in inner city schools, while promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle at the same time. The premise behind the program is to reward students who meet certain goals throughout the year by giving them the opportunity to interact with University of Louisville student-athletes. Students who are doing exceptionally well in the classroom also get the opportunity to attend a University of Louisville sporting event. The goals were created to be attainable for all, yet challenging in the process. These goals were created by K4K and officials from the schools participating in the program

Tackle Hunger
The Tackle Hunger program was formed to distribute food to families in need.
To do this, we work closely with caring corporate partners that donate surplus food and other supplies, as well as with individual donors who help defray the cost of transporting the items donated. Over 100 bins are placed around Houston Texas, Huntsville Alabama & Louisville Kentucky for two months of collecting nonperishable foods and canned goods. The supplies and food are then distributed through our extensive network of feeding centers, homeless shelters, churches and various other organizations located in communities across our target areas. Groups can also sponsor a single family, during which boxes of food are given directly to the families in need.
Kick Off 4 Kids Scholarship

Three scholarships are distributed annually to deserving inner city high school students in Huntsville, AL, Louisville, KY and Houston, TX. Lee High School, Western High School and Jack Yates High School are the three deserving schools that these scholarships go to. In order to win the scholarship, the three scholars have to write an essay paper, which will be reviewed by the Board of Directors of the Foundation. The scholar with the best graded essay paper will get to accompany Amobi Okoye and his friends on his annual C.A.T.E trip to Africa

Book Abroad
We gather thousand of new & gently used library books for the C.A.T.E trip, which are donated to schools is rural parts of the country

Movies & Motivation
Many at-risk kids don’t get to kick back, relax & enjoy a movie. The K4K Movies & Motivation program is geared towards elementary and middle school kids. It allows them to be normal kids who can discuss the latest movie, relax, laugh and let their hair down. While there, Pro Athletes, K4K staff and volunteers motivate the kids to stay in school, seek higher education, eat healthy, exercise, and learn about bully prevention.
